Sunday school

A Sunday school (also sometimes referred to as a Sabbath school), is a Christian educational institution, usually (but not always) catering to children and other young people. Sunday schools in England were first set up in the 1780s to provide education to working children.[1] It was proposed by Robert Raikes, editor of the Gloucester Journal in an article in his Journal and supported by many clergymen. It aimed to teach the youngsters reading, writing and cyphering and a knowledge of the Bible

Every Sunday morning our Sunday School classes help our children explore the Biblical stories and build relationships in the faith community. When it comes to helping kids grow in faith it is "all hands on deck!"  VMMMC partners with parents in helping our children grow in faith.
